SparkChess Multiplayer is hosted by leaders in cloud servers. Multiplayer users experienced a brief disconnect as they were reconnected to a different server. Update: The operation completed successfully. Service interruption should be minimal since SparkChess has built-in redundancy, but we will monitor the situation closely in case reboots cause any issues. Our host is planning a network reconfiguration on January 8 at 8:15 PM GMT-5 for about 5 to 15 minutes. Update 23:00 GMT – The situation appears to be resolved. We’re working with our host to mitigate it. UPDATE 21:30 GMT – The whole NYC datacenter is affected by this attack. We’re working to mitigate it and we’re very sorry for the inconvenience. We’re under a heavy DDOS attack that’s affecting the multiplayer experience. The multiplayer service is currently unavailable. We diagnozed the issue and deployed a hotpatch in 20 minutes.
